Step by Step
Whatever you’re holding, it takes about four taps.
iPhone & iPad
In Safari, tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), scroll down, and choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Safari only — Chrome on iOS can't install it.
Android
In Chrome, tap the â‹® menu in the top corner and choose Add to Home screen (or Install app), then Add.
Computer
In Chrome or Edge, click the small install icon at the right end of the address bar and choose Install. In Safari on a Mac, choose File → Add to Dock.
Why Bother?
It opens full-screen without the browser bar, it keeps its own icon on your home screen, and it’s always the current version — nothing to update. Handy for looking up a vendor or a phone number from the dock.
